Jonathan Wiggenhorn, DO, FAOCOOtolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery
Most doctors don’t experience first-hand many of the conditions they treat, but Dr. Wiggenhorn is the exception. Having battled severe allergies and chronic sinusitis personally, he is able to deliver knowledgeable and compassionate care to his patients. “I know how it feels to have your quality of life altered by severe allergy symptoms,” he says, “and I also can tell you there are things we can do to make a difference in how you feel!”
Dr. Wiggenhorn is board certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery and earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Services in Pomona, CA where he served as Vice President of his class and was elected to join Sigma Sigma Phi, a National Osteopathic Honor Society. He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. and his residency within the St. John Health System affiliated with Michigan State University.
Prior to opening Estrella Ear, Nose and Throat in 2010, Dr. Wiggenhorn was in private practice in Asheboro, North Carolina. He is an Associate Clinical Professor at Midwestern University and continues to serve as the official ear, nose and throat physician for the Cincinnati Reds during spring training.
Outside the office, he enjoys the Arizona climate by golfing, mountain biking, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Tania Edwards, Au.D., CCC-AClinical Audiologist
Dr. Tania Edwards was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Windsor and Northern Arizona University. In 2016, Dr. Edwards obtained her Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
After completing her clinical externship at Estrella, Ear, Nose and Throat in 2016, Dr. Edwards continued with the practice as a licensed clinical audiologist. Her clinical focus includes diagnostic audiological and vestibular evaluations, hearing aid selection and fitting, and aural rehabilitation. She has a passion for providing holistic care and empowering her patients to better health.
In her free time, Dr. Edwards enjoys quality time with her family and friends, and hiking throughout Arizona.
Blanca Olivia Pena, MSPAS, PA-CPhysician Assistant
Bianca GarciaBilling Manager
Bianca, joined Estrella Ear, Nose & Throat in 2014. Bianca has always been very passionate about healthcare! She has both managerial skills and ENT knowledge to help patients to the fullest potential by serving their needs. In addition, Bianca is in charge of overseeing patient accounts, which includes billing, collections and insurance claims. She interacts with insurance companies on a daily basis and has a lot of knowledge in that department, so if you ever need an insurance question answered, she is the point person. She also reviews treatment/payment plans for our patients, answering any questions they may have about their insurance, and works with the staff very closely making sure everyone is up to par on payer guidelines and billing protocols.
During her free time she enjoys spending time with her children, traveling, going to the movies and come fall – watching her Steelers play!
Alicia Parks, MSPAS, PA-CHealthcare Professional
Alicia Parks, MSPAS, PA-C, is a dedicated healthcare professional with a wealth of experience. She embarked on her educational journey at the esteemed University of Nebraska Medical Center, where she earned her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
With an impressive 15 years of professional experience in the medical field, Alicia’s diverse background spans across multiple disciplines, including emergency medicine, urgent care, women’s healthcare, and Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialties. Her well-rounded expertise allows her to provide comprehensive care to her patients, drawing from a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to excellence.
Alicia’s passion shines through as she specializes in ENT problems and sinus disorders. She is deeply dedicated to improving the quality of life for her patients by addressing these common yet often challenging health issues.
Beyond her thriving career, Alicia nurtures her love for health and fitness, often dedicating her free time to staying active. Alicia is also a loving mother to four wonderful children, each involved in activities like soccer and gymnastics. She takes great joy in supporting her kids’ endeavors and sharing their milestones.
